Ms. Cary, owner of MCjRecords and sister company, Video Blog Marketing, shines creating a professional online presence for local businesses, bands and musicians.

Having developed heer Website, Video Blog, Social Networking, Search Engine Optimization and Branding chops with musicians, now she translates her skills directly to local businesses. Most companies that handle the same work charge more than twice the price. But Mary loves what she does and wants local businesses to pop.

Mary Cary, a professional musician, studio engineer and sound designer, produces and engineers websites, videos and moves easilyh through the online world of marketing.

For fun, when her company Video Blog Marketing is humming along, Mary loves to play in bands and release new music.

Deeply connected to the rock scene Mary keeps her finger on the pulse by performing live in Shred Metal guitar band Terry Lauderdale Band as well as playing in churches and Christian rock concerts around the bay area. Ms. Cary has helped raise funds for the Kilimambogo region of Africa as well as supporting other charities with her music.

Her current work includes all aspects of audio recording and production, utilizing and understanding state of the art gear and current software in the music business incluidng Protools HD, and Logic Pro to name a few. Ms. Cary, already well-grounded in Protools usage decided in 07, enticed by the huge library of sounds and plug ins, to expand her skills to include working on the Logic Pro platform.

Ms. Cary assisted Andy Newell contributing music and sound design to Electronic Arts “Ultima Online/Samurai Empire” and Atari/Stormfront’s “Demon Stone”. Ms. Cary has also written musical scores and played guitar on many National Ad Campaigns such as Sega, Nintendo, Got Milk and Porsche to name a few as well as lending her hand to the sound design and wealth of rich effects. She currently works in the studio with some of the biggest name producers in the music business, such as Ripe Sound’s Andy Newell, Narada Michael Walden (Whitney Houston), Bob Rock (Bon Jovi) and Scott Matthews (The Beach Boys) Sulvia Massy (Tool).

With a strong background in composition, Ms Cary produces hard rock, jazz, acoustic rock, hip hop, heavy metal, punk, new age, modern classical and indian music, as well as being a musician on many projects. Ms. Cary is a drum loop editor and desiigner and plays many instruments other than guitar. She has her own record label MCjRecords with iTunes and Amazon distribution. Many of her artist’s, as well as her own albums can be heard on iTunes.

She played on the live stage with bands such as Metalica, Motley Crue, Berlin, Men At Work, Rod Stewart and Missing Persons as well as playing lead guitar for Michael Jackson in 1992. Ms. Cary’s 2nd solo album to release Sept 09 is driven by heavy guitars and a power punk pop Green Day-esq influence.

She also turned her artistic focus to the dual Mac-PC environment of video editing using both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier as well as Final Cut, where in a four-year span she helped build a body of working creatively for many companies and their websites including writing the music, performing and editing music video for band Thankfull at RoughHouse Productions in San Francisco, DC Financial, Porsche, Got Milk, Nintendo, Sega and Sfarzo Strings.

Ms. Cary also currently works in her Logic Pro/Protools HD recording studio in Marin County California on various multi-media projects as well as assisting Mr. Newell at Ripe Sound with music, drum programming and sound design, creating layers of exciting digital effects and working with field recordings to make completely original sounds on various Film and Commercial projects. www.RipeSound.com

Ms. Cary plays lead guitar on many National Ad Campaigns such as Sega, Nintendo, Got Milk and Porsche and Toyota, to name a few. Not only has Ms. Cary worked engineering and producing, she is also a guitarist who has worked in the studio on many album projects with some of the biggest named producers such as Narada Michael Walden (Whitney Houston), Bob Rock (Bon Jovi) and Scott Matthews (The Beach Boys) Sulvia Massy (Tool).

For fun, Ms. Cary is also an established painter working with acrylics. Her paintings can be found at The Metreon in San Francisco as well as in many private homes. To keep up her good energy and joy, she also loves biking and running and created original meditative soundtracks for runners available on iTunes.

Mary is a graduate of The College of Recording Arts in San Francisco, Berklee College of Music as well as Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, and has been a guest speaker at Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles as well as Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. Ms. Cary has a heart for the youth, she enjoys teaching studio skills, guitar and bass as well as helping inspire young sound designers and musicians who want a musical career and frequently offers studio time to up and coming artists in her Marin County Studio.
